SPUSC is an annual conference held in association with the ‘Council of Australian University Directors of Information Technology’. Every year delegates from tertiary educational institutions in New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific are invited to attend the event. SPUSC generally attracts around 200-250 delegates.
Attendees are people whose job is to focus on the client and support their use of technology and electronic information services. The delegate roles range from service desk analysts through to IT management and directors.
The theme of the SPUSC 2009 conference is ‘The Winds Of Change’. Whether technological, environmental or organizational, Information Technology is subject to a constant state of change. SPUSC 2009 will offer the expertise, forum and focus to help identify the issues and processes involved with change and will provide our delegates with an invaluable five day event to approach the subject with colleagues from within the same professional environment.
The conference will be held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Wellington, New Zealand, between the 23rd and 27th of November 2009. As this is the first conference to be held in New Zealand since 2004, Victoria University are hoping to not only produce a world class IT conference, but also push the Wellington region as a professional and recreational destination.
